Bernette Joshua Johnson

Bernette Joshua Johnson (born June 17, 1943) is an American lawyer from New Orleans, who served as the chief justice of the Louisiana Supreme Court from 2013 to 2020.

She is the first African American to serve in this position, and succeeded Catherine D. Kimball.
